I live near here and drive past almost every day, but have never eaten there. No idea why, just never went in. So, we tried it last week based on a friend’s recommendation and we weren’t disappointed. We didn’t have a reservation but the guy got us a table provided we ate within 90 mins. No problem so we sat down. Service was quick and friendly. Beer came with a frosted glass which was a nice touch. We had….. salted egg prawns, kapitan curry chicken and the mixed veggies. All were excellent. Didn’t see any local Malaysians there, it seems to be all foreigners (like me), some lived there, some were tourists. The owner was very, very friendly to everyone, some he seemed to know very well. Very, very good restaurant. We’ll be back.

Located on the second floor of an old building, we had to take the broken electric stairs to get there, but it turned out to be a great find and totally worth the effort. The spring rolls arrived super fast and were wonderful. The fried squid was perfectly crunchy and delicious. The Marmite chicken was excellent, and the chicken with lime sauce had a very nice texture and balanced flavor. Overall, an excellent experience with really good food. Definitely worth checking out.

The restaurant near Beach Night Market. The portions are big even when we ordered the small size. The taste is okay, and the service and hospitality are very nice. Recommended to try

A Hidden Gem in Penang – Andrew's Kampung Is Simply Unforgettable! I made a reservation in advance through WhatsApp and visited. This was my fourth visit to Andrew's Kampung, and every time feels like the first—pure magic. The flavors here are absolutely phenomenal, and what makes it even more special is the personalized touch. I often have dietary restrictions, but the owner always takes the time to discuss my special requests and even suggests creative ways to prepare the dishes. That kind of care is rare and deeply appreciated. My go-to dishes? The Butter Prawns are heavenly, the Honey Lemon Chicken is perfectly balanced, and the Fried Vanilla Ice Cream is a must-have dessert that keeps haunting my cravings long after I leave. I always bring my family along, and they love it just as much as I do. Honestly, this place makes me want to move to Penang just to eat here more often. Highly recommended for anyone seeking not just a meal, but a truly memorable dining experience.

A wonderful hidden gem on the fifth floor of Eden Parade. It is a family-run business. We booked in advance for 3 tables and the owners are very kind and efficient in handling our orders. The Malaysian Chinese dishes were cooked up well and scrumptious. The price is totally worth the generous serving sizes, festive season and touristy location.

Had a pleasant dining experience at Andrews Kampong. Service was good and the food was served promptly. We tried the Marmite Chicken, Kampong Rice, and Clear Vegetable Soup. The Kampong Rice was flavorful, and the Marmite Chicken paired well with it. Overall, the food quality was above average, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Do note that the restaurant is located on the second floor, which may be easy to miss if you’re visiting for the first time. A good spot for a casual meal with quick service.

Ultra fresh and tasty shrimps!!! Great food for very fair Price! Owner Andrew is extremly Kind and nice person

Ordered kapitan chicken, black vinegar chicken, claypot homemade bean curd with mixed veggies, homemade spring rolls and white rice via Grab apps. Delivery was fast and everything tasted really good. First time trying Kapitan Chicken, the meat was tender and not dry at all. Black Vinegar Chicken was slightly sweet with a mild spicy kick. As a Johorean, it’s nice to finally taste something different, authentic and good food in Penang. Very satisfying meal, definitely recommend
